A Research on Effective Language Teaching Methods and Syllabi: Theory and Practice

This research is aimed at exploring an overview of theories and practices related to effective language teaching methods, syllabi, and inputs. Effective foreign language teachers should know various teaching theories and practical teaching skills in order to select a suitable syllabus for their students, as well as to help each of their learners in his/her own different but effective ways of learning. This paper intends to stress such a concept: the goal of foreign language teaching can be reached in more ways than one. Teaching methods, syllabi, or inputs are also the same. Any language teaching approach should not be served as the only way or even the best way for all situations. A combination of language teaching theories and practices should be taken into their considerations by effective foreign language teachers.
