The Spring and Autumn and the Warring States periods were eras of ＂collapse of traditional values and ethics＂. When the moral degeneration of society was getting serious, Mohism reflected on it deeply. Most members of Mohism were plebeians, meaning that they could acutely feel the pain and anguish of the grassroots of society. Therefore, Mohism's governance was based on the people's daily lives, and their purpose was to seek truth from practical and realistic facts. In the dialectical experience, Mohism's governance, law, and order were just like the scientific views of ancient Chinese politics. Mohism tightly organized rescue operations in multinational states. Such tasks were beneficial in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. People trusted each other in a congenial environment, Mohism became famous in the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States periods. This article discusses Mohism's philosophy, politics and military thought etc.
