添加劑對大理石粉碎及石材加工性質之影響

Effect of Chemical Additives on the Pulverization, Sawing and Polishing Properties of Marbles of Taiwan

摘要


本研究為探討臺灣產大理石在粉碎、切割、研磨、拋光等作業中,加入化學添加劑,使其在上述各加工過程所消耗之能量降低,運轉順暢,及減少廢材,因而得到降低加工成本之效果。試驗結果顯示:乙醇對大理石的粉碎、研磨、拋光有18%之助益,對大理石切割有3.4%之助益最為突出。油酸鈉對大理石粉碎有20%助益,氨水對大理石粉碎有12%助益。依據實驗結果提出最佳大理石粉碎助劑之配方:乙醇(0.2%);油酸鈉(2X10^(-4) molar);氨水(0.1%)。對於添加劑作用之理論解釋,綜合來說,除了「表面能」與「流動性」兩個因素之外,須要加上「潤濕性質」之考慮。

This investigation was undertaken to evaluate the effects of three types of chemical additives (surfactants) on the pulverization, sawing, and polishing properties of marbles of Taiwan. These chemicals were considered to be beneficial in the reduction of overall production cost as a result of less energy consumption, ease of operation, and decrease of waste products. Laboratory and plant test results showed that ethyl alcohol gave a calculated benefit in reduction of 18% energy consumption in pulverization and polishing operations, and 3.4% in sawing. Sodium oleate gave benefit of 20% and ammonia (NH_4OH) 12% in pulverization, respectively. An optimum reagent formulation was suggested: a mixture of ethyl alcohol (0.2%), sodium oleate (2X10^(-4) molar) and ammonia (0.1%) in the aqueous solution. A theoretical analysis showed that a combination of surface energy, slurry rheology and wetting effects was responsible for the improvements in the pulverization, sawing and polishing operations.
