連鑄粉性質之研究與選用之標準

摘要


為了充分了解「連鑄粉」的性質,以選用連鑄模內適當的鑄粉,本文主要針對鑄粉各項性質進行研究與討論,計有:(1)化學成分;(2)礦物組成;(3)粒度分佈;(4)熔融速率;(5)爐渣在鋼胚表面貼附性;(6)熔融性質;(7)高溫粘度;及(8)熔點及流動點等性質,其中尤以(4),(5),(6)及(7)項等物化性質對於現場連鑄操作影響最大,其測試結果,部分業已成功地用來解釋數種鑄粉在現場使用的結果,並進而為日後鑄粉之選用標準建立了基礎。

In order to select and apply a suitable mold powder in the continuous casting mold, it is important that the mold powder will be characterized as completely as possible. This paper deals with various properties of mold powders; such as: (1) chemical composition, (2) mineral constituents, (3) particle size distribution, (4) melting rate, (5) slag attachment on slab/bloom, (6) melting behaviour, (7) high temperature viscosity, and (8) melting point and flowing point. Among the properties mentioned above, it is found that items (4), (5), (6), and (7) are the most important properties with regard to practical operations. The results of this study have been successfully used to explain and to compare the performance of various kinds of mold powder. The selection standards of mold powder which should be seriously considered before its application are also described.
