摘要

金瓜石地區在過去90年曾在本山、九份、及武丹山三個石英安山岩岩體附近生產約600噸黃金，目前尚有三千萬噸以上之低品位金礦，可能適合地下塊狀墜落法及堆積浸漬法開採。地化及重力探勘顯示在臺金及臺陽礦區內至少有四個未探勘之潛伏礦化石英安山岩岩體，所以可能的金蘊藏量超過以前曾經生產的。地質、地化、及地物資料又暗示在員山、八分寮、及坪林地區可能尚有其他潛伏之安山岩岩體，值得進一步探勘。

In the Chinkuashih district, 600 tons of gold were produced from the Penshan, the Chiufen, and the Wuatanshan dacites in the past ninety years. At present, more than 30 million tons of low-grade gold ores are still left, possibly good for, block caving mining and heap leaching. Geochemical and gravity explorations have indicated that there are at least four unexposed and unexplored but mineralized dacite bodies within the mineral concessions of Taiwan Metal Mining Corp. and Taiyang Mining Company, therefore, the possible gold reserves could exceed the quantity already mined. Geological, geochemical, and geophysical data show the possibilities of more unexposed dacites in the nearby Yuanshan, Pafenliao, and Pinglin areas.
