印刷用預塗感光鋁片底材之品質改善

Quality Improvement of Aluminum Presensitized Plate

摘要


預塗感光印刷版(簡稱PS版)已成為現今印刷工業中不可或缺的基本材料。高品質的PS版底材除需具備基本機械性質外,更要有好的耐高溫烘烤及疲勞強度的特性,再配合好的感光塗層,如此才能做成符合高速度及高畫質印刷技術需要的產品。本篇主要針對做為PS版底材之AA-1050鋁片進行品質改善,特別是提升其耐高溫烘烤及疲勞強度。藉著冶金製程的調整,包括均質化及冷軋中間退火溫度參數之控制,再配合顯微金相觀察、機械及疲勞強度測試,發現較高的均質化及中間退火溫度有助於提升底材的耐熱能力,顯微組織觀察結果亦發現上述製程調整確有抑制再結晶作用,而使得材料能在受熱後仍維持原有機械性質。經製程改善後的底材經烘烤處理後,抗拉強度仍能有原來強度的80%,且疲勞強度(10^7次)亦能保持未受熱前產品的83%水準以上,試製底材與市售PS版產品比較之結果顯示已達到相當水準。

Nowadays, lithographic plates (also called presensitized plates, PS plates) have been generally used in printing industries. For high quality PS plates, the supports must have high mechanical strength, heat softening resistance and excellent fatigue strength. In combination with a good light-senstive layer, it can be applied to the high speed and high performance printing. The effects of manufacturing processes including homogenization and intermediate annealing temperature on the properties of PS plates were evaluated. It was found that higher heat treatment temperature can improve heat softening resistance. Metallographic observations revealed that grain growth could be inhibited through this process. After baking at 280°C for 7 minutes, the decrement of tensile strength of the sample manufactured based on the recommended process was lower than 20% and the fatigue strength decrement was only 17%. This heat softening resistant properties of developed PS plates are comparable with the commercialized high quality products imported from overseas.
