Improvement of Central Quality for 9254/9260 Spring Steel

摘要


中鋼公司在彈簧鋼開發初期,所生產的條線產品經客戶使用並評定品質合格,但考慮未來推廣用於更嚴苛的用途,中心品質的需求將更加突顯,因此未雨綢繆,針對中心偏析及中心孔洞,進一步改善中心品質。第一階段的改善,採一般製程試驗方式進行,第二階段再採田口試驗,以三因子各兩個水準的L4(2^3)直交表方式進行,三個因子分別為二次冷卻噴水、澆鑄速度配置和輕壓下模式,選出最適化的製程條件組合,並進行效果確認,中心偏析和孔洞良好比率分別為95.0%及100%,彈簧鋼中心品質得以全面提升。

The spring steel produced by China Steel Corporation has been satisfactory to customers. However, with the requirements for advanced applications getting more and mo re critical, improvements to the central quality of the steel by overcoming the defects of central segregation and cavity become necessary. First of all we adopted norm al process trials to select suitable variables, and then chose 3 process variables, namely secondary cooling water, cast velocity and soft reduction pattern, which affect the central quality for the analysis by Taguchi method. A L4(2^3) orthogonal array design was performed on the spring steel grade 9254/9260. Finally, an optimal process was attained, with which the central quality of spring steels was greatly improved.
