Detailed 119Sn Mössbauer effect studies on the superconductor DYBa2Cu2.85Sn0.15O7-x were carried out in the range of 14.5≦T≦295 K. The temperature dependence of integrated intensity f(T) provided an evidence of phonon softening near 215 K. It also provided an evidence of strong correlation between superconductivity and lattice anharmonicity for T≦125 K. The fluctuations of the center shift 6(T) indicated that, as far as the electron density at tin-sites is concerned, the sample has a high degree of instability.
