Crystallization kinetics have been studied in glassy (Se80Ge20)100−xBix (x = 0, 2, 4). Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) runs were taken at different heating rates. Well-defined endothermic and exothermic peaks were obtained at glass transition and crystallization temperatures. Three different methods (Matusita-Sakka's method, Augis-Bennet's method, and Kissinger's Method) have been used for the evaluation of the activation energy of crystallization (Ec). The value of Ec and the pre-exponential factor of rate crystallization Ko have been evaluated for each glassy alloy. Using the values of Ec and Ko, the rate constant K is calculated at different temperatures in the crystallization region. The values of the order parameter of these present glassy alloys have also been determined.
