Magnetic Properties of Nitrogen Doped SrTiO3

Nitrogen doped SrTiO3 samples were fabricated using the nitrogen ion implantation technique. No transition magnetic metal impurity was detected by XRD, XPS, and HTEM measurements. Room temperature ferromagnetism was obtained in the metallic conducting nitrogen-doped sample. The room temperature ferromagnetism may be attributed to the carrier mediated interaction among the localized magnetic moments.
