Calocedrus macrolepis var. formosana is one of the endemic species grown in Taiwan, its extractives and bioactivities reported in the current literatures were reviewed in this paper. There are one hundred and twenty kinds of constituents found in leaves, forty seven in wood, and nineteen in bark. Its bioactivities, including antifungal, antibacterial, anti-insect, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antitumor activities, have been confirmed by various assays.
