漿紙污泥製備固態衍生燃料磚之可行性

The Feasibility Study on the Preparation of Solid Fuel Briquette by Using Pulp and Paper Sludge

摘要


The main purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility of manufacturing solid fuel briquette using three kinds of recycled wastes pulp sludge (pulp sludge, paper mill sludge, and dregs) as raw materials which obtained from the domestic pulp and paper mill. After analysis of related properties, and then carried on carbonization process, the development of solid fuel charcoalized briquette and the effect of before/after carbonization on its heating value were evaluated. We expect that the research results can be applied to the manufacture technology and applications of solid biomass energy in the future. Three pulp sludge volatile combustible matters (VCM) were range of 83-88%, and 20.8-36.1 % of carbon and hydrogen content of chemical elements. Fuel briquette volume springback percentage to 5 days later has shown a steady state. The charcoal yields of the solid fuel charcoalized briquettes with increasing of the carbonization temperature and retention time was decreased significantly. The charcoal yields also showed the low-temperature carbonization (300°C) higher than the high-temperature carbonization (900°C). The ash, pH, volume shrinkage and density loss percentage increased with increasing the carbonization temperature and retention time respectively. Three kinds of pulp sludge of the heating value ranged from 7.8-7.9 MJ/kg. However via the carbonization process will increase the heating value of the specimen. The same carbonization temperature also showed with increasing the retention time to increase its heating value. The efficiency of the heating value of solid fuel charcoal briquette showed pulp sludge (7.6-106.3%), paper mill sludge (39.2-144.2%) and dregs (3.7~121.8%) respectively. The effect of carbonization temperature on its heating value showed the tendency of 900°C> 700°C> 500°C> 300°C.
