台灣肖楠容器種子園單親家系之種子品質與苗木高生長之早期評估

Early Assessment of Seed Quality and Seedling Growth from Containerized Seed Orchard's Half-Sib Progenies of Calocedrus Macrolepis var. Formosana

摘要


本研究以台灣中部出雲山苗圃之台灣肖楠容器種子園各營養系母樹,在未經開花結種促進處理之天然授粉狀態下,於2006年間所收穫之單親後裔種子,調查分析其毬果及種子特性,及其播種後實生苗在苗圃之早期生長表現,為林木種子園經營與應用之研究。苗木之早期生長在不同種源及家系間皆有顯著差異。遺傳率為1,顯示各家系苗木高度受遺傳之控制,苗齡21及26個月之高生長表現在種源間並不一致,應為苗木於苗圃之早期生長表現尚未穩定之故。以原生母樹性狀與種子園後裔進行外表型相關性分析,發現毬果鮮重(0.5039,P=0.0063)及種子產量(0.4222,P=0.0252)與原生母樹生長海拔呈顯著正相關,故母樹移至較適合生長之中低海拔環境確有增加毯果鮮重及種子產量之正面效益,符合種子園設計之預期效益;對苗木早期生長,依史皮爾曼等級相關分析,母樹生長海拔與苗齡26個月苗高呈負相關(-0.3925,P=0.0319)。結論是應持續各家系幼年期與成熟期之相關性謂查分析及後裔試驗,以作為日後利用種子園後裔進行造林時營養系選汰之參考。

The research was based on the initial performance and analysis of the seed yield, seed quality and seedling growth of the Calocedrus macrolepis var. formosana, which seeds were collected from open-pollinated without using flower-stimulating treatment in 2006. The parent trees were planted in the containerized seed orchard of Chu-yun-shan nursery where located in the middle of Taiwan. The project has been researched for the application and management of the seed orchard. Result of ANOVA showed that there were significant differences between provenances and families on the initial performance of seedling growth. The narrow-sense heritability of seed yield is 1. The data revealed that seedling height growth was strongly controlled by genetic factors. However, the height of 21-month and 26-month old seedlings between provenances were different by statistical analysis, implying that seedlings growth at the stage was not stable.The result of phenotypic correlation analysis showed that the cone fresh weight (0.5039, P=0.0063) and seed yield (0.4222, P=0.0252) were highly positive related to their parent trees growing at elevations. In consequence, to plant the seedlings from parent trees to their optimal growing elevation will indeed benefit on corn weight and seed yield, which will meet the expectation of the seed orchard. Furthermore, the elevation of parent tree and seedling height showed a negative correlation (-0.3925, P=0.0319) in the analysis of Pearson product-moment correlation.According to the result, we may continue to study the juvenile-mature correlation and progeny test, so that we could acquire database for the clones selection, seed orchard management as well as silviculture in the future.
