公豬飼糧添加維生素E對改善熱季精液品質之效果評估

本研究旨在評估熱季時，公豬飼糧中添加不同量維生素E，對改善公豬精液品質之效果。試驗共採用平均11月齡畜試黑豬一號（75%杜洛克與25%桃園豬血統）公豬21頭，依採精順序先後，逢機分置於三種飼糧處理組，每組7頭。對照組公豬餵飼含粗蛋白質15%、可消化能3，250kcal/kg的基礎飼糧，二個試驗組則分別於對照組飼糧中額外添加維生素E100IU/kg及200IU/kg，每頭公豬日餵2kg飼糧。公豬以假母台訓練採精，於6~10月份每隔7日採精一次，檢查包括精液量、精液pH值、精子濃度、每次採精總精子數、畸形精子率、精子活力等精液性狀。結果顯示，熱季時公豬以添加100IU/kg之維生素E飼糧餵飼，其精子濃度及每次採精之總精子數高於對照組，尤以七月中旬至試驗結束日止（10月30日）之試驗期間為然，而各組之精液pH值、膠體重、平均畸形精子率及精子活力百分率，未有顯著之差異。

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the beneficial effect of feeding vitamin E during the hot season on the semen quality of boars. A total of 21 TLRI Black pig No.1 (75% Duroc and 25% Taoyuan pig) boars were allocated into three groups with seven boars in each group. The boars in the control group were provided a corn-soybean meal basal diet which was formulated to contain crude protein 15%, digestible energy 3250 kcal/kg and the vitamin E content was 59.1 IU/kg. The boars in the other two experimental groups were fed a basal diet and additionally supplemented with vitamin E 100 IU/kg and 200 IU/kg. The boars were trained to mount an artificial dummy for semen collection every 7d from June to October. This study measured semen characteristics, including semen volume, semen pH, sperm concentration, total sperm, sperm motility and percentage of abnormal sperm. The results show that boars fed the diet supplemented with 100 IU/kg of vitamin E produced higher (P＜0.06) sperm concentration and total sperms per ejaculation than the control group, especially during the period from mid-July to the end of October when the trial was finished. The treatments led to no differences among semen pH, gel weight, percentage of abnormal sperm and sperm motility.
