臺灣相思樹(Acacia confusa Merrill)常受靈芝(Ganoderma lucidum (Fr.) Karst.)與熱帶靈芝(G. tropicum (Jungh.) Bres.)為害,引起根腐及木材白腐朽。然而從子實體的外觀不易鑑別這兩種靈芝。本文則以子實體的微細構造與菌絲純培養的特性比較靈芝與熱帶靈芝的不同。靈芝擔孢子的疣狀刺較不明顯且不對稱而熱帶靈芝之疣狀刺較明顯且對稱。靈芝與熱帶靈芝的擔孢子在掃描式電子顯微鏡下觀察時,其表面構造均呈波浪狀凹槽及小孔洞分佈其間。靈芝與熱帶靈芝的特化菌絲均類似。靈芝成熟的厚膜孢子呈短紡綞形到橢圓形,而熱帶靈芝為長紡綞形。靈芝菌落表面呈規則,而熱帶靈芝偶呈扇形面。
Root rot and white rot of Acacia confusa Merrill are usually caused by Ganoderma lucidum (Fr.) Karst, and C. tropicum (Jungh.) Bres. in Taiwan. The fruiting bodies of G. lucidum and G. tropicum are indistinguishable. In the present report, the microscopic structures of the fruiting bodies and the characters of the pure culture in these two Ganoderma spp. were compared. The basidiospores of G. lucidum were not symmetric with indistinctive echinulation at maturity, while those of G. tropicum were relatively symmetric with distinctive echinulation. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that G. lucidum and G. tropicum had basidiospores with sinuous depression and minute holes. These two Ganoderma spp. shared the common morphological characters of generative, fiber, staghorn hyphae, and cuticular cells. Chlamydospores of G. lucidum were ovoid to ellipsoid, while those of G. tropicum were oblong. Colony of G. lucidum evenly distributed, while that of G. tropicum sometimes presented sector.
