對竹山桶頭之桂竹林分實施樣區調查,依各胸徑階選取樣竹,並以層別刈取法測定樣竹各項生長形質,再以相對生長式估算林分生物量。由林分樣區調查結果顯示;該桂竹林分密度每公頃在l萬株左右,而l、2年生新竹比例過少、各齡階立竹平均胸徑隨竹齡之由老至幼而漸小,同時,地下莖各齡級生物量之分佈,亦呈隨年齡減輕逐年變少之趨勢,林分之構造並非理想狀態,均在顯示本試區林分之生產力正逐漸衰退。桂竹樣竹之生產構造圖中,葉量與枝量在各樹高層內,大致呈對稱分佈,稈、枝、葉量皆隨胸徑階增大而有增大之傾向。僅以樣竹之胸徑為自變數,即可滿足林分生物量估算的要求,而樣竹各齡級稈部、枝部與胸徑間相對生長關係式之斜率不具分離性,各齡級立竹可使用共同迴歸式,葉部在各齡級間則呈分離現象,因此林分葉量估算時,應使用各齡級個別之迴歸式。由各迴歸式所估算桂竹林分稈量(乾重)為15.64~24.16ton/ha,枝量為5.41~8.13ton/ha,葉量為0.95~1.38ton/ha,稈量:枝量:葉量之比為72:24:4。本試區林分葉量並不高,是否與林分之生產力低落有關,尚有待進一步探討。 桂竹林分地下部生物量經估算結果約為12.59ton/ha,其中地下莖部分為10.47ton/ha,佔地下部生物量之83.16%,稈基部為2.12ton/ha,佔6.84%。
Sampling plots were set to investigate the growth parameters of makino bamboo (Phyllostachys makinoi Hay.) stands on Tung-Tou area. Sample trees were selected from different DBH classes using the stratified clip method, and then use the allomctric method, to estimate the stand biomass. The results show that, the stand density is about 10,000 culms/ha, and new clums of 1 to 2-year-old is relatively too few in whole stand; mean DBH of the culms in each age class reducing from old to young, and the biomass of rhizome of each age classes also decreased year by year. These results indicate that the productivity of the stand is declining. Growth organ of makino bamboo-branches and leaves distributed symmetrically on each height level, dry matter of clums. branches and leaves increase with DBH class. The stand biomass of clums ranging from 15.64ton/ha to 24.16ton/ha, branches is about 5.41 to 8.13ton/ha and leaves ranging form 0.95 to 138ton/ha. Stand biomass of the rhizosphere of makino bamboo is about 12.59ton/ha, the rhizome is 10.47 ton/ha and rhizocauls is 2.12ton/ha.
