摘要

科技的進步與讀者的需求，使得資訊的檢索與儲存變得迅速而方便，圖書館為因應科技的使用，在經費上作了很大的調整;而同時，圖書館在安全性的考量下，經費與日俱增，是否也意味著圖書館正面臨著犯罪行為的威脅呢？本研究以犯罪學的三種基本理論來探討當今圖書館違規行為的本質、類型、影響，違規行為產生的原因和圖書館對違規行為控制所應作的一些努力。

The user demands copious information retrieval and storage. The majority of libraries have a large expenditure to meet such requirement. On the other hand, the libraries also have a lot of spending on crime prevention equipments. Is the crime in the library a significant problem? This re-search is based on 3 types of criminology theory to decribe the characteristics of library offenders, library crime patterns, the impact of various crimes on the library and the causes of crime and the efforts of crime control in the library.
