公共圖書館的教育功能
The Education Role of Public Libraries

摘要
公共圖書館確定為社會教育的機構，具教育功能，但民眾並未能體認到圖書館可接受教育，公共圖書館界應以行銷觀念，與教育行政機關、圖書館學系所等合作規劃公共圖書館界有關教育方面的服務。各個公共圖書館亦應針對讀者需求，規劃自身的讀者服務。

Public libraries exist as social education institutions, play an educational role in human society; however, ordinary citizens aren't quite aware that ”library” is a true ”university of the people.” Public libraries should form a coalition with the education administration and library schools, and so on to plan and to promote their diverse services in education. Each public library, depends on reader requirements, should plan its own reader services.
