Reading is the basis of academic success for students. Public libraries can promote children's love of reading by means of puppets, magic, and storytelling. For older kids, public libraries can offer reading guidance, homework help, andsummerprograms. The ultimate goal is to lead children and young adults to books through fun activities and thus encourage heir lifelong learning.
