摘要

圖書館員的服務工作與一般公務人員有些不同，讀者需求多樣化、假日也要輪班、必須具備良好的體力與耐力，且須建立優良形象，更要有妥善的生涯規劃，使館員的生活安定，且由繼續學習，促進提升服務品質。本篇就生涯規劃的意義、重要性、原則、步驟、內容及其實踐途徑等提出若干意見，以供同道參採。

The Service provided by librarians is different from that by other public functionaries. A librarian must have greater endurance physically and mentally to satisfy diversified needs brought by users. They also need to work on the night/holiday shift. In addition, librarian should maintain a neat figure to the public, and enhance service quality through proper career planning and lifelong learning. This paper discusses career planning of librarian including meaning, importance, principles, procedures, contents and approaches to provide some suggestions for fellow librarians.
