摘要

有關建築結構對地球生態及人類健康影響的相關知識顯著地擴展，促使永續建築或綠建築等替代性技術及產品的研發及規範受到重視。臺北市立圖書館關心圖書館建築及其長期營運對環境生態所造成的影響，而決定將石牌及北投二個計畫拆除重建的分館規劃為綠色建築，使新館建築在結構、電力及機械工程方面皆符合永續經營的概念及相關規定。本文除介紹綠建築的概念，主要記述北市圖推動綠色圖書館的過程，包括緣起、俄勒岡團隊對二個圖書分館徵選建築師的建議，並介紹四個國外的綠色圖書館。

During the last decade, knowledge about the impact of construction on ecological and human health has expanded significantly. Alternative techniques and products, designed to reduce these impacts, have developed in an aren known as sustainable construction, or green building. Taipei Public Library concerned with sustainable culture in terms of the environment al impact of the building and its long-term operation. In keeping with this concern, new branch library's design should consider building systems that demonstrate innovations in sustainable design, using architecture, electrical, structural and mechanical engineering concepts, which are mutually integrated and synergistic.This article mainly introduces the definition of green buildings, demand of green building, the experience of the Taipei Public Library in planning Pei-Tou and Shih-Pai Branch Libraries and the features of four green libraries in the world.
