摘要

本文旨在探討公共圖書館應正視圖書館員的繼續教育，才能讓館員的知識不致落後於社會發展的趨勢，永遠保持高水準的服務，並就現今公共圖書館館員最欠缺的知識和技能類別加以統計歸納，提出可供館員繼續教育的各種管道，以供未來公共圖書館主管在規劃館員培訓或繼續教育的參考。
