Web 2.0 emphasizes the concept of user-centered design and the importance of user's participation. The application of Web 2.0 in Public Libraries helps providing innovative services and meeting readers' needs. This paper introduces Web 2.0 tools and applications, and the current state of the application of Web 2.0 in metropolitan public libraries.
