省視公共圖書館當代兒童閱讀推廣與實踐

Rethinking the Contemporary Children Service in the Public Library

摘要


數位時代科技日新月異,社會環境快速變遷,呈現更多元、複雜與不確定性的特質。而數位原生代的兒童在這樣的生態影響下,生活環境與能力也不斷變化,資訊需求自然與過去的兒童有所差異。公共圖書館在推廣兒童閱讀與實踐服務之際,應思索當代社會環境的變遷與重新省視兒童讀者的特質與需求變化,調整更新服務內容與方法。本文藉由省思Virginia A. Walter所論及的二十一世紀兒童讀者五大特質來提供我國公共圖書館兒童閱讀推廣與實踐時的參考。

The role of Public libraries in children service is keep up with children, promotion reading, with specific reference to information literacy. Children of the digital age have already changed the way which they live and needs. Many of public library services which deliver to children may be not suitable for them anymore. The paper discusses the five concepts of the children lead to a different approach to public library service from Virginia A. Walter. Try to rethinking of these concepts in Taiwan's public libraries.
