The Participatory Culture of Public Libraries: Referring to Digital Content Curation

摘要

隨著新科技環境與大眾資訊需求日益翻新，建構參與式文化的公共圖書館，是回應「以使用者為核心」觀點的重要論述，可是如何實踐卻少有具體討論。本文提議從數位內容策展做起，是一種資料使用和分享行為，由策展者從網路選擇素材加以組織、呈現，並通過社群媒體擴散。圖書館可先開放館藏資料，同時結合館員專業來說故事，以引導使用者共同參與創造，進而在互動中合作，擴大知識和服務流通。

Emerging technologies and people's information needs are constant renewal. The participatory culture of public libraries was one of important discourses to respond to ＂user-centered＂ viewpoint, but rarely explored to how to practice. This paper suggests referring to digital content curation that is the act of data using and sharing. Curators had to select materials from internet and organization, presentation to others by social media. From this perspective, librarians can open and storytelling data collection to lead users to participate in the creative process. Furthermore, we collaborated in the interaction, expanding the flow of knowledge and services.
