In Vitro Studies on the Intradental Fluid Flow

牙內液流之研究

摘要


本實驗用373個單根人牙以研究牙內液流之存在,計採用蒸發法,染料擴散法,及染料指示法三位方法,結果顯示牙內有橫貫整個硬組織之液流存在,以連通唾液與牙髓,此種牙內液體在牙表蒸發之速度約為0.02-0.03 mm^3/mm^2/hr.綜合三種方法的結果顯示:牙內液流在年青者較年老者為快,乳牙較恆牙為快;牙骨質之滲透度甚高,而牙釉質幾不能為染料所滲透:牙間病及牙磨損可使牙組織之滲透度減少;而齲齒及牙根膿瘍則使其增加;牙根部之象牙質較牙冠部者更易為染料所滲透;解剖缺陷如牙窩裂等則可使染料滲入增加,此種牙內液流之機轉,能予影響之因素及其在生物學上之重要性均曾予以討論,對於其與牙組織之持續成熟,齲齒之發生及各種因素所導致之牙痛間之關係,尤為討論之重點。

The intradental fluid flow was studied on 373 single-rooted human teeth in vitro with evaporation method, dye diffusion method and dye indicator method. The continuous centrifugal fluid flow traversing the entire thickness of the hard dental tissues was proved. The evaporation rate of this fluid from tooth surface was ranged 0.02-0.03 mm^3/mm^2/hr. The results of these three methods revealed: the flow of the intradental fluid was faster in young group than in old, and in deciduous than in permanent teeth; cementum was highly permeable while enamel was almost impermeable; attrition, abrasion and periodontitis decreased the permeability while dental caries, dento-alveolar abscess and osteomyelitis increased permeability; root dentine was more permeable than crown dentine; and anatomical defects like pits and fissures increased dye penetration. The mechanism, the influencing factors and the biological significance of the movement of the intradental fluid were discussed with special reference to post-eruptive maturation of the dental tissues, cariogenesis, and toothache elicited by various factors.
