We have found the tensor fascia lata (TFL) myocutaneous flap to be a versatile and reliable one for repairing large skin wound. The pedicled tensor fascia lata myocutaneous flap is a well-recognized and reliable method for reconstruction of full-thickness defects of the lower abdominal wall. Three cases of reconstruction using the tensor fascia lata myocutaneous flap were described. Two cases of them involved the abdominal wall reconstruction and the other one had a trochanteric decubitus ulcer reconstruction.
