An osteoma is a benign neoplasm of bone that is commonly seen in the mandible or maxilla when it develops in the head and neck region. Osseous neoplasms were extremely rare within the soft tissue of this region. Only less than 50 osteomas of the tongue have been reported in the literature. We present a case of osteoma of the tongue. The patient received excisional biopsy and no evidence of recurrence in the postoperative course was found.
