國中編班教學問題之調查研究(一)—國中教師、行政人員及學生家長對現行編班教學方式的看法

摘要


本研究目的,旨在經由調查瞭解國中編班教學問題的真象,從而檢討教育部在七十一年頒訂「國民中學學生編班實施要點」之後引起的問題。調查對象爲省市100所國中的教師3,000人,學校行政人員1,000人,國中生5,000人,學生家長5,000人。調查結果發現:(1)教師、學校行政人員、學生家長三類人員有半數以上支持一年級常態編班的措施。(2)對二、三年級採二段式混合能力編班的辦法,半數以上認爲不能達成昇學與就業兼顧的雙重目的。(3)三類人員均認爲,二段式混合能力編班教學,在目前昇學主羲的壓力之下,對前段班利多弊少,對後段班有弊無利。(4)按教師們的意見,二年級以上按學科能力分組教學比較適當。此法之最大優點是兼顧全校各種程度學生的利益。(5)對能力分班後對學生影響的看法,教師們重視學生的心理適應,而家長們則重視學生成績。針對調查研究發現的問題,作者提出了改進的建議。國中生對現行編班教學之意見,將另文報告,不包括在本研究報告之內。

The purpose of the studies were to investigate the attitudes of junior high school teachers, school administrators and students’ parents toward the issues of different groupings of students based on different criteria in instructional programs. Three questionnaires were administered to 3 samples of 5000 teachers, 1000 school administrators, 5000 students' parents respectively drawed from 100 junior high schools, The major findings of the studies were (1) In terms of the effect of different groupings on students' behavior, parents emphasized academic achievement, whereas teachers considered student's psychological adjustment. (2) More than a half of people investigated agreed normal grouping in the first year designed by the Ministry of Education in 1982. (3) Different attitudes were found among the samples toward dichotomous division in the second year. The parents of the first group supported the program, whereas the parents of students of the second group objected.
