飲用蜆萃出物對酒精性肝臟損傷之影響

Effects of Freshwater Clam Extract on Liver Functions in Alcoholic Liver Injury

摘要


本研究目的在探討供給蜆萃出物對酒精誘發豬肝臟損傷的影響。32頭二月齡藍瑞斯(Landrace)與約克夏(Yorkshire)二品系雜交雌豬隨機分組為供給正常飲水的對照組及三個實驗組,實驗組分別為在飲水中添加10%酒精、5%蜆萃出物及同時添加10%酒精和5%蜆萃出物等處理。試驗為期8週,豬隻隔週採血以進行血液生化分析。供給酒精的組別在試驗第4週起,血漿中GOT值與GPT值顯著較對照組為高,而分別在試驗第2週起及第6週起,供給酒精組的血漿中三酸甘油酯和總膽固醇濃度也顯著較對照組高。上述因供給酒精所產生肝臟損傷的效應,在同時供給蜆萃出物時顯著降低。本研究結果顯示,供給蜆萃出物可有效降低酒精所引起的血脂提高效應,同時也可有效減緩因酒精所導致的肝功能損傷。

We studied the effects of administering freshwater clam extract (CE) to pigs with experimentally alcohol-induced liver damage. Thirty-two female Landrace x Yorkshire pigs, at 2 months of age, were received 10% alcohol, 5% CUE, or 10% alcohol plus 5% CUE in their drinking water. The experimental period of the present study was 8 weeks, and blood samples were collected at an interval of 2 weeks for biochemical assay. Alcohol administration significantly elevated the plasma GOT and GTP concentrations from 4 weeks of treatment, plasma triglyceride levels from 2 weeks, and plasma total cholesterol levels from 6 weeks, as compared with those of the control group. Biochemical changes of liver damage due to alcohol treatment were reversed with CUE supplementation. In conclusion, this study shows that supplementation with CUE has plasma lipid-lowering and liver protective effects in pigs with alcoholic liver injury.
