Learning the Design of Power Factor Correction Circuits via MATLAB/SIMULINK

應用MATLAB/SIMULINK於功率因數修正電路之設計與製作

摘要


本論文主要的目的,在研究如何應用MATLAB/SIMULINK所提供之電腦輔助設計環境於功因修正電路的設計問題上。雖然參考文獻[1]曾經在相同環境下提出有關功因修正電路的行為模型,以協助同學們或是工程師們加速學習功因修正電路的回授控制概念,但是對於實際電路的設計參數,或者是使用現有商用IC來製作功因修正電路時,回授控制相關電路設計參數等的討論卻付之闕如。因此,本論文除了將彌補前人在電腦輔助設計環境上成果的不足外,也將實作電路以驗證我們對應實際電路所建立之模型之準確度。

The subject of this paper is the application of computer aided tools, MATLAB/SIMULINK, to help students learn the design of power factor correction (PFC) circuits. Although [1] has created a behavior model library for PFC systems, it is only useful in learning the basic theory and has no specific relationship with practical circuit implementations. On the other hand, the SIMULINK models in this paper are constructed to be useful with available PFC control chips from IC manufacturers. Therefore, they are useful for engineers and students to explore practical issues when a PFC control chip (for example, the UC3854 from Texas instruments) is adopted to construct an entire circuit. The success of the idea is validated by the close agreement of experimental results and the simulation results using corresponding SIMULINK models.
