本文以日月潭爲何,透過人文生態觀點與觀光遊憩理論,探討人類介入湖泊演化的過程,由始於居住其濱以至於經營開發爲觀光遊憩之地,在在說明湖泊地區的觀光遊憩資源屬性;觀光遊憩活動之範圍;以及遊訪者之行爲、認知、體驗與評價;同時這些皆影響人類對湖濱未來的經營與開發。
This thesis studies the man-environmental interactive process as manifested in the development of Sun-Moon Lake in Taiwan. It comprises several topics and synthesizes them to be aecological-evolutionary account of this most famous scenic area. First, the physical and ecological basis of the lake is examined. It describes how the aboriginals' dependence on the area as a livelihood setting was succeeded by modern recreational use, upheld by a dam project which dramatizes the human intervention. The lake is then studied in terms of tourism resources. Visitors' activities and their perceptions, behaviors, and evaluations are analyzed on the basis of empirical data collected from a question naire survey. Management issues are explored and future development courses are suggested. Throughout the study, it follows the theme that the development cycle of a ecological system is the combine dresults from the natural process and human interventions.
