The rafters of Hsiu-Ku-Luan River were chosen to study the relative importance of various setting attributes for white water rafting. Study results showed that the most important attributes were managerial setting attributes, followed by physical enviromental attributes, activity setting attributes and social setting attributes. It was also found that the relative importance of setting attributes was significantly different among three visitor groups with different motivations. Visitors' marital status, occupation and gender were related to perceived importance of setting attributes too.
