福山植物園自然敎育活動之評估

An Evaluation of a Nature Education Program of Fushan Botanical Garden

摘要


本研究目的在評估2000年5月27、28日於福山植物園舉辦的自然教育親子活動敎學成效。活動採通訊自由報名,二梯次共計184位學員參加,包括家長88人、兒童96人。敎學內容包含6個植物學主題,由解說人員解說並配合實物及解說牌,亦有動手做的部分。 活動成效以問卷方式評估,於解說前後測驗學員相同的10個問題,於題目外並有學員基本資料及活動體驗等問項。調查結果家長年齡主要在30-40歲之間(51.2%)、職業以軍公教人員較多(53.0%)、兒童以四年級較多(47.1%)、參加動機家長以“讓孩子接觸自然知識”爲多(97.7%)。測驗結果答對率家長由解說前82.1%增加到解說後96.0%,兒童則由77.8%增加到93.2%。活動體驗大部分學員對活動整體表示滿意(96.0%),對解說人員解說表示“很好”(86.9%),且願意再參加類似或進階課程(97.3%)。 從本調查分析之結果,除可反應自然敎育實施的成果,也可重新評估敎學內容及架構,作爲未來舉辦自然教育之參考。

The purpose of this paper was to evaluate a natural education program, which was held in Fushan Botanical Garden in 27-28 May 2000. It was an interpreter-guided program including 6 topics of botany. A total of 88 adults and 96 children participated the program. A questionnaire was designed as a tool to evaluate the program. The content of the questionnaire included 10 questions of the knowledge of botany, which were covered in the contents of the 6 topics of teaching materials. The results show that participants were mainly middle age adults, from the age of 30 to 40 (51.2%). Children were fourth grade (47.1%). Over 50% of adults were classified in professional or administrative related occupations. The rate of correct answers of botanic questions was significantly increased both in adults and children. Besides, participators were highly satisfied with the program and are willing to attend the similar program in the future.
