遊客中心展示館之解說評估-以太魯閣國家公園生態展示館爲例

The Interpretive Evaluation of Ecological Exhibits in the Main Visitor Center of Taroko National Park

摘要


本研究主要探究:(1)太魯閣國家公園遊客中心生態展示館中,各種不同的展示子題對遊客所造成的吸引力(attracting power)與持續力(holding power);與(2)參觀時間與遊客特性(即性別、年齡、與團體組成)的關聯性。本研究隨機抽取332位遊客進行非參與式觀察,結果發現,針對整個生態展示館,遊客的平均參觀時間是2分41秒。吸引最多遊客的三個展示子題依次是「生態造景區」、「昆蟲標本區」、與「幻燈片燈箱區」,均吸引超過40%的遊客注意,其觀看時間則分別爲91.5、72.5、與38.0秒。但其他大多數的展示子題,均吸引不到10%的遊客駐足。針對整個生態展示館,不同團體組成的遊客,其參觀時間有顯著的差異;而不同年齡層與不同性別的遊客,其參觀時間則沒有顯著的差異。最後再根據研究結果,對於未來國家公園室內展示的規劃及後續研究提出建議。

The major purposes of this study were: (1) to determine the attracting power and holding power of each ecological interpretive exhibit in the main visitor center of Taroko National Park; and (2) to identify any significant differences in the viewing times by the demographic variables (i.e., gender, age, group type). The visitors were randomly selected and observed. The sample size was 332. The results showed that the viewing time was 2 minutes and 41 seconds for the whole ecological exhibit room. The three most popular interpretive exhibits were ”ecological landscape”, ”insect sample”, and ”slide box”, attracting more than 40% of the visitors, with the holding power of 91.5, 72.5, 38.0 seconds, respectively. However, almost all the other exhibits attracted less than 10% of the visitors. The viewing times for the whole ecological exhibit room were significant different by group type. There was no significant difference in the total viewing time by both gender and different aged groups. According to the research results, implications for the development of interpretive exhibits in the national park were presented. Recommendations for further research were also provided.
