論劉勰《文心雕龍》之文學本質論及其玄學基礎

The Theory of Literary Criticism of "Wenxindiaolong" and Its Philosophical Foundation

摘要


劉勰《文心雕龍》一書於中國文學批評史佔有重要地位,今日學者多言之。然彥和本人之所深造,究竟其論議,僅是屬於文學批評之理論?抑於其間,尚有屬於「一般哲學」與「美學」之部分?則論及之者,相對較少。本文即以此角度,針對其文學批評理論之核心部分,所具有之「一般哲學」與「美學」之義涵,乃至其立說之形而上學基礎,為一探論之嘗試。全文觀察之要點有二:一在其論述中有關「道」與「德」之關連;另一則是彼對於「心」、「性」、「情」三者之理解。至於在此同時,彥和是否尚具有可以明確指陳之「美學」方面之建設,則據其論述中所蘊含之美學與藝術論議題,加以條理。文之最終,並於總結處,依哲學、美學,與文學之藝術論三方面,綜括討論劉勰《文心雕龍》一書之價值與影響。

Liu Xie has been considered by many modern critics as the most distinguished theorist in the history of Chinese literary criticism, not only because of his profound learning revealed in his work but also because of his considerable talent for aesthetics and philosophy. This thesis aims to discuss in detail the aesthetic nature of ”Wenxindiaolong” and its philosophical foundation. The analysis is focused on the logic of Liu Xie's theory, and the impact that the pre-Qin schools, Buddhist teachings and the philosophical trends of his time have on him. In the end, he author re-evaluates Liu Xie's position in the history as a great thinker and philosopher.
