摘要

本研究主要目的在預估未來五年及十年後在長期照護、職業復健與輔具服務等新興領域中的職能治療人力之需求情形，以利教、考、用等相關單位未雨綢膠，及早因應。由於尚未有固定的職能治療服務模式，因此推估的方法主要根據現況資料，或參考專家建議的服務模式，考慮我國未來人口之變化進行推估。
研究結果發現未來在長期照護體系將需要大量的職能治療師人力。職業復健與輔具服務方面之發展亦將需要職能治療師的投入。因此教育、考試及衛生主管機關宜盡速針對未來社會之需要，訂定適當的職能治療專業人員教育課程標準與職能治療師考試資格，控管各層級學校職能治療科系招生人數，以期確實做到教、考、用三者配合，培育符合社會需要的職能治療專業人員。

The main purpose of this study was to estimate the demand of occupational therapists (OT) in the evolving domains such as long-term care, vocational rehabilitation and assistive device services five and ten years later from now. The findings would assist the education, accreditation of OT and employment departments to make necessary modifications of their institutions in advance. Because there were has not been well-developed service models in these fields yet, the estimation was based on current service conditions, suggestions from the experts in the field as well as consideration of the change of population.
The results of this study showed that a great manpower demand of OT in the long-term care system is anticipated. In the evolving vocational rehabilitation and assistive device services, the increase of need of OT was also foreseen. In response to these trends, the educational department needs to develop new minimum standards for OT education that incorporate relevant knowledge and trainings. The accreditation and health care regulation departments also need to revisit the existing policies regularly to ensure quality service. It is only when the design of OT education and accreditation regulations meet the needs of the society can the service quality be warranted.
