Between-Week Test-Retest Reliability of Some Endurance Measures in the Trunk Extensors

背伸肌之耐力的一些變數之隔週再測可信度

摘要


背肌之耐力,疲勞度,和疲勞知覺可由索氏測驗(Sorensen Test),肌電圖的初期中間頻率(Initial Median Frequency)與中音頻率斜度(Median Frequency Slope),和柏氏使力知覺表(Borg's Rating Scale of Perceived Exertion)來測量。此研究之目的爲檢驗上述測量法之隔週再測可信度(Test-retest Reliability)。男女成年志願者各十六位參加測試。受試者執行索氏測驗,亦即保持上身水平、無支撐之俯姿狀態直到無法繼續爲止。左右背肌之肌電訊號,在測試開始後5秒至35秒間以皮表紀錄方式收集之。這些記號再經由快速傳立葉變換(Fast Fourier Transformation)及直線回歸運算(Linear Regression Analysis)處理而得初期中間頻率與中間頻率斜度。受試者並在測試第35秒時,根據柏氏使力知覺表自評其背肌之疲勞知覺。兩週後再重複這些測試一次。統計依級內相關係數2.1模式(ICC(2,1))分析顯示索氏測驗與柏氏使力知覺表具有優良之隔週再測可信度。左右背肌之初期中間頻率則具可接受之隔週再測可信度。然而兩肌之中間頻率斜度的隔週再測可信度不良。此研究證實了索氏測驗與柏氏使力知覺表在測量背肌耐力和疲勞知覺有較高的信度。而肌電圖方面只有初期中間頻率具有可接受之隔週再測可信度;中間頻率斜度若不用平均值則隔週再測值並不可靠。

Back muscle endurance, fatigability and perception of fatigue can be measured by Sorensen test time, two electromyographic (EMG) median frequency (MF) parameters, the initial median frequency (IMF) and MF slope, and the Borg's rating scale of perceived exertion. The purpose of this study was to examine the between-week, test-retest reliability of these parameters in healthy individuals. Sixteen male and 16 female adult volunteers without current back pain consented to the study. The subject performed the Sorensen test that was to maintain the upper trunk unsupported in a horizontal position. The test ended and the endurance time (TIME) was recorded when the subject was no longer able to hold the position. The EMG signals of the right and left erector spinae muscles from the 5th to the 35th second into contraction were recorded by surface EMG. The IMF's and MF slopes were obtained by Fast Fourier Transformation and linear regression analyses of the EMG signals from each recording site. Data from the right and left sides were averaged. Each subject self-rated the level of fatigue in the back muscles at the 35th second into the test according to the Borg's 10-point scale for perceived exertion (RPE). Each subject repeated the test in two weeks. Repeated measures multivariate analyses of variance showed the IMF and MF slope of the two sides were not significantly different. The between-week, test-retest reliability, as determined by the intraclass correlation coefficient ICC(2,1) model, was good to excellent for TIME (.95) and RPE (.82), acceptable for the IMF of the right and left erector spinae muscles (.72 and .75), but poor for the MF slope of the two muscles (.46 and .67). The Sorensen test and the RPE were reliable measures of endurance and perception of fatigue of the back muscles. The IMF of the erector spinae muscles had acceptable test-retest reliability over two weeks. However, the MF slope of the erector spinae muscles was not a reliable measure over weeks unless an averaged value could be used.
