分析底碴再生粒料應用於瀝青混凝土之工程及環境特性

Engineering and Environmental Characterization of municipal Solid Waste Bottom Ash Applied to Asphalt Concrete

摘要


現有都市廢棄物主要以焚化為主,經焚化所產生之底碴再生粒料是否具有應用於公路建設之可行性,仍須深入分析探討。本研究試驗結果得知,添加10%以內底碴之瀝青混合料與一般之瀝青混合料具有類似之抗車轍強度,抗水侵害試驗結果顯示,隨著底碴添加比例的增加,瀝青混合料的間接張力強度及浸水殘餘強度指數也隨之逐漸降低。本研究建議底碴再生粒料應用於道路黏結層或底層之瀝青混合料,其添加比例應控制在20%以下;應用於面層之瀝青混合料,應限制到10%以下,可確保鋪面性能良好。另底碴經過瀝青黏結料拌合後,重金屬浸出濃度符合環保法規要求。

Municipal solid waste (MSW) bottom ash has the potential for a substitute as aggregate for road construction. This study was to estimate the performance of asphalt mixtures with MSW bottom ash. Test results indicated that the rutting resistance of asphalt mixtures with MSW bottom ash below 10% were similar to that of convention ones. The indirect tensile strength of asphalt mixtures was decrease with the increase in substitution percentage of MSW bottom ash. After being mixed with asphalt, the leachates of MSW bottom ash were significantly reduced. It is recommended that the amount of MSW bottom ash used in asphalt mixtures be limited to be 20% bottom ash by total weight of the mix when applied to the base course. The use of MSW bottom ash should be less than 10% in a surface mix to ensure pavement performance.
