Socrates' Dialogue is highly estimated by contemporary scholars of philosophical counseling and psychotherapy, and this paper is to explore the ideas, background, rationale, procedure, features and rules of Socrates' Dialogue as well as attempt to propose possible applications of such a methodology in the education of philosophy. In particular, the courses of both philosophy for children and philosophical counseling are oriented toward the aspect of group discussion and therefore more suitable for the application of Socrates' Dialogue. Here in this article, we explore the question of ”What is Family?” in the light of Socrates' Dialogue so as to present another possibility on the arena of the education of philosophy.
