This article first states the position of Zhan Ruo-shui's doctrine of mind in the history of philosophy and how his doctrine balances between Cheng-Zhu and lu-Waog's doctrine s of mind. emphasizing his theory of self-cultivation and practice as the mutual compliment between "studying to fathom the principles.and "recognizing the heavenly principle everywhere." Here we explore how Zhao Rou-shui's doctrine of mind can inspire the general education and life education in Taiwan.
