This essay aims to explore the syntactical feature of the idea"ziran" and its implied philosophical meaning. The history of the idea"ziran" starts off with Daoist thought in ancient China and evolvingthrough dialogues with Confucian and Buddhist thought. In the twentiethcentury, the idea of "ziran" joined the inter-cultural dialogue of whichwestern culture is the main interlocutor. I intend to contribute to thehistory of the idea "ziran" by advancing our understanding of its certaingrammatical feature through the lens of Heidegger philosophy.
