Rhinocerebral mucormycosis, is a life threatening fungal infection, mainly affect patients with diabetic ketoacidosis or are immunocompromised. We present a 66-year-old male with poorly controlled diabetes with rhinocerebral mucormycosis. The diagnosis was confirmed by the biopsy of the infected tissue after external ethmoidectomy and medial maxillectomy. The patient was successfully treated with repeated radical surgical debridement, Amphotericin B (total dose of 2 gm), and the control of blood gluoose levels.
