Because of the impact of the rapid economic development and community reconstruction, much attention on the issues concerning disappearing communities has been paid. This paper looks at the issues concerning the spatial sequence of traditional settlements of ”five-forts”, which using a new quantitative methodology in a unique way of coordinate geometry to improve the limitation of the qualitative researches in the past. Therefore through investigating on 38 missing traditional settlements in Touliu area with on-site observation and identifying the similar structure of the ”five- forts”, this paper providing a new point of view to identify the spatial relationship of main temple and other subordinate temples in the ”five-forts” by using vector's geometry with it's recognizable and calculable characteristic.
