Genomics of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in Taiwan

The objective of this study is to better our understanding of the molecular genetics of Mycobacteriumn tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis) strains in Taiwan. The results provide information on the biodiversities of M. tuberculosis isolates and could be applied to the practical epidemiological investigation of tuberculosis (TB). Combined analysis of data obtained from this study and epidemiological data will facilitate the development of a strategy for an efficient control of TB.
