TQM and Six Sigma: Back to Basic Principles

The study explores TQM and Six Sigma which back to the principles. The conclusions are, both implementing TQM and Six Sigma can improve quality performance. It is not absolutely necessary for an enterprise to implement Six Sigma activities. It is acceptable that the enterprise implements Six Sigma activities under the TQM infrastructure, since TQM has the implicit contents of Six Sigma system. The most important things for enterprises to do are to integrate quality activities with business strategy, and this will naturally achieve improved business performance.
