摘要

何首烏(Polygonum multiflorum Thunb.)於中藥中爲防老抗衰要藥。何首烏的酒精粗抽出物顯示對大白鼠之動脈具血管鬆弛之活性。
何首烏化學成分之單離與結構分析鑑定了五個蒽醌類化合物。此五個化合物是physcion，emodin，1-O-methylemodin，physcion 1-O-β-D-glucoside和citreorosein。其中，1-O-methylemodin及citreorosein係第一次從何首烏分離得到。
各成分之血管鬆弛活性以emodin和1-O-methylemodin較強；physcion作用較不明顯；physcion 1-O-β-D-glucoside和citreorosein則無血管鬆弛活性。

Polygonum multiflorum Thunb. is a herb used as tonic and anti-aging agent in Chinese medicine. The crude extract of P. multiflorum showed vasorelaxation activity on rat aortic ring.
Isolation and characterization of the chemical constituents of P. multiflorum resulted in the identification of five anthraquinones. They are physcion, emodin, 1-O-methylemodin, physcion 1-O-β-D-glucoside and citreorosein. Among them, 1-O-methylemodin and citreorosein have been isolated from P. multiflorum for the first time.
Emodin and 1-O-methylemodin demonstrated strong vasorelaxation activity; physcion was less active; physcion 1-O-β-D-glucoside and citreorosein were inactive.
