頸部動靜脈畸形及腫瘤手術前之外頸動脈栓塞術－病例報告
Pre-Operative Embolization of External Carotid Artery in a Case of AVM with Carotid Body Tumor: Methodology and Complication
摘要
本文報告一例長在頸部的動靜脈畸形(arterio-venous malformation)合併靜動脈體腫瘤(carotid body tumor)的病例，在開刀前做必要的血管栓塞術，以免手術時發生無法控制之大量出血，並小心注意可能發生的合併症。

Transcatheter arterial embolization has become on established and effective procedure in the management of bleeding, AV malformation or hypervascular tumor....etc, either for the purpose of pre-operative devascularization or only for palliative treatment. Many complications had been reported. As in our case, the last steel coil regurgitated and lodged in the internal carotid artery. Therefore, the operator should understand clearly about the complications of the procedure and know very well of the immediate action once the complication occurred.
