EXTREME LATERAL DISC HERNIATION: CT DIAGNOSIS
極外側椎間盤突出症之電腦斷層診斷
摘要
Extreme lateral disk herniation is unusual and is often detected by high resolution CT scan with thin slices contiguous scanning and coronal computer reformated images. Six cases reported here were detected by CT scan and were verified by surgery. Three patients had lumbar metrizamide myelography and all of these three were normal. This suggests that CT is more reliable than myelography and is the best diaguastic tool to detect the extreme lateral lumbar disk herniation.

極外側椎間盤突出症為一少見之病症，一般之放射線檢查制脊髓腔造影術（myelography）往往不能診斷而可由高解像力之電腦斷層檢查，連續細切掃描及電腦冠狀面重組影像而診斷，本文之六例極外側椎間盤突出症皆由電腦斷層診斷並經手術證實其中三例接受脊髓腔造影術呈陰性結果，本文將討論極外側椎間盤突出症之電腦斷層診斷。
