A case of hepatic angiomyolipoma and its imaging appearances are presented in this case report. On ultrasonography, a well defined hyperechoic tumor was disclosed. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed a hypointense mass mixed with hyperintense nodules within the tumor on T1- weighted image. On T2-weighted image, the tumor increased its signal intensity but the nodules became hypointense. A hypervascular tumor was demonstrated by angiography. Pathology study showed mature lipocytes, smooth muscle cells and thick-walled vessels in the tumor.
